Questions partners ask
What does it cost to join?
Nothing. There are no fees and no minimum sales, and you get a free Hookpair workspace to show your audience real audits.
Who can join?
Anyone whose audience or clients run online stores or paid ads: newsletters, creators, agencies, consultants, freelancers and communities. Tell us where you'll share your link when you apply.
How much do I earn?
20% of every payment a customer you brought makes, without VAT, for 12 months from their first payment. On Growth that is €15.80 a month per customer, €189.60 over the 12 months.
What about yearly plans?
You get 20% of the yearly payment, in one go, when the customer pays it.
What if a customer upgrades, downgrades or cancels?
Your commission follows what they actually pay: more after an upgrade, less after a downgrade, and it stops when they stop paying.
When do I get paid?
Each commission becomes payable 60 days after the customer's payment, once the refund period has passed. Payouts go out monthly by PayPal, in euros, as soon as your payable balance reaches €50.00; anything below that carries over to the next month.
What if a customer gets a refund?
Then you don't earn on it. A refund or chargeback within the refund period cancels that commission; one after a payout is deducted from your next payout. Your ledger shows each case.
How do you know a customer came from me?
They follow your link and create their account. Your link stays with them while they look around the site, and if they allow it, a cookie remembers it for 30 days, so a sign-up on a later visit still counts. If several partners' links were used, the last one counts. Someone who already had an account isn't credited.
What do people I send get?
They start free, and after their first audit they get 2 extra audits that month. A good reason to use your link rather than search for Hookpair.
Can I use coupon codes or run ads with my link?
There are no coupon codes; the free start is the offer. Ads are fine if they are labelled as ads, but don't bid on "Hookpair" or misspellings in search ads.
Do customers from the Shopify App Store or Whop count?
No. Plans bought inside the Shopify app are billed by Shopify, and plans bought on the Whop marketplace by Whop, so they can't be credited here.
Can I see who signed up?
You see each customer under a fixed pseudonym with their sign-up date, plan and payments, never their name or email. Link visits and sign-ups per day are there too, and everything downloads as CSV.
Can I change my PayPal address?
Yes, on your affiliate page, at any time. Payouts go to the address saved there.
What if I stop promoting, or leave?
Commission you've earned stays yours and is paid out. You can end the partnership at any time.
What about taxes?
Commissions are income for you. We may ask for an invoice or your VAT details before paying out.

What earns commission. Paid plan invoices charged through Stripe for accounts that signed up through your link, 20% of the net amount (excluding VAT), for 12 months from the customer's first paid invoice. Your link counts when the account is created in the same visit, or within 30 days if the visitor allowed the partner cookie; the last partner link used wins. Accounts created before they used your link are not attributed to you.
What doesn't. Your own account or accounts you control; plans billed by Shopify inside the Shopify app; free plans and credits; payments made before your approval, after the partnership ended or after the 12-month period.
Refunds and chargebacks. No commission is paid on money the customer gets back. Each commission becomes payable 60 days after the payment (the refund period); a refund or chargeback within that period cancels it (partly, for a partial refund). A refund or chargeback after a payout is deducted from your next payouts. If the partnership ends with a negative balance, we may ask you to repay it. A chargeback decided in our favour restores the commission.
Payouts. Commissions become payable 60 days after the payment, unless refunded or disputed. We pay monthly by PayPal when the payable balance reaches €50.00. You are responsible for taxes on your earnings; we may ask for an invoice or your VAT details before paying.
How you may promote. Label your links as advertising (for example “ad”, “affiliate link” or “Werbung”). Don't send unsolicited email or messages in bulk, don't bid on “Hookpair” or misspellings in paid search, don't publish fake coupon codes, and don't promise results Hookpair doesn't give, such as guaranteed sales increases. Don't present yourself as Hookpair.
Self-referrals. Accounts you create for yourself, or that are created from your own network or devices, don't earn commission or invite rewards, and neither do payments made with your own card. We check sign-ups for this and may withhold commission on accounts that match, and end the partnership after abuse.
Transparency. Your affiliate page shows link visits per day, every sign-up through your link under a pseudonym, every payment with your commission, every refund, chargeback and payment that earned nothing with the reason, and every payout with its reference, also as CSV.
Ending. Either side can end the partnership at any time. Commissions earned until then stay payable, except for sales gained by breaking these terms. We may change the terms with 30 days' notice; commissions already earned keep the old terms.
